Uncle Kracker - Smile
Uncle Kracker - Smile

You're better then the best
I'm lucky just to linger in your light
Cooler then the flip side of my pillow, that's right
Completely unaware
Nothing can compare to where you send me,
Lets me know that it's ok, yeah it's ok
And the moments where my good times start to fade

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed, sing like bird
Dizzy in my head, spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh, you make me smile

Even when you're gone
Somehow you come along
Just like a flower poking the sidewalk crack and just like that
You steal away the rain and just like that

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed, sing like bird
Dizzy in my head, spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh, you make me smile

Don't know how I lived without you
Cuz everytime that I get around you
I see the best of me inside your eyes
You make me smile
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild

You make me smile like the sun
Fall out of bed, sing like bird
Dizzy in my head, spin like a record
Crazy on a Sunday night
You make me dance like a fool
Forget how to breathe
Shine like gold, buzz like a bee
Just the thought of you can drive me wild
Ohh, you make me smile

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ok.last day of the month. sigh. time really passes by super fast sia. very soon will be in rjc le. anyway, shall blog about today.

biology: matthew was going through some DNA stuff. we questioned him on the purpose of having so many assignments for the different biology topics and why he did not want to tell us exactly which part of the whole thick stack of notes to study. he responded by saying that the purpose of the test is for us to study the topic as a whole. im sure. i feel that the purpose is mainly to improve ones social skills and inter-class relationship. (if you noe what i mean) LOL.

pe: astro was super wet today so played without shoes. rather nice game, however ball was damn slippery and i made some silly errors. haha..eh, cannot blame me leh..even the class keeper also slipped due to the wetness of the ball leh..heh..

recess: played with 4k. i was on their team since they were short of some ppl. wa,they quite imba la. ram like some hard shit..if u were playing den u would understand what i mean. anyways, soccer time was cut short since another class had pe lessons and had to use the astro. sigh. the MAJOR DISADVANTAGE of having a screwed-up field. congregated play areas and deprivation of soccer. zz.

english: erm.dun really rmber what he went through..er..ohya. he went thru some english compre for the first half of the lesson. and den spent half an hour going through this chim poem. obviously our class was not a lit class:

and we found whatever he was saying useless and boring. these are just 2 angles from my seat. wait till u see the whole class scene. LOL.

maths: kbh went thru application of integration to find area between 2 curves. steps damn long-winded, and correct answers not guaranteed. such a waste of effort and a pang of demoralisation will hit u when u realise that u juz spent 15 min doing a question and getting the wrong ans. zz.

2 periods RE: wa lau, carn stand the muggers in my group. lol. they super hardcore la. supposed to write maximum 3 pages reflection, A and DS spammed 4 pages. and A's file was like twice as thick of mine cos he went to research more and printed out more stuff. wth. also A went to decorate his file and included this damn imba cover page. wa.. looking at his file and mine is tian yuan zhi bie..hahs..anyway having muggers in ur group also have advantages la. they super hardworking and will get their work done fast and good. this was what happened when i handed in our group's final report to Mrs Joy Lim. (Mrs lim was giving remedial lessons in 4H when i went in.)

me: er,mrs lim, i have come to hand in our final report.

mrs lim: wow. so fast ah? so good ah?

    me: er, yar.

mrs lim: you sure you all dun need extension izzit? i can give extensions for ur group u noe?

me: erm,we completed it over the weekends, and i think it is more or less done la.

mrs lim: okok. i will collect it.

as i walked out of the door, i heard mrs lim telling the students in the class "these boys are very good ah, hand in the report so fast and efficiently!" XDXDXD. mrs lim is so nice lor. so sad she is not our bio teacher. sigh.

so we had the remaining 1hr+ to ourselves. decided to da-pao food from macs and eat in sch. thanx terence for the coupons hor, we made good use of it! hahs..these were what we ordered:

the words highlighted in blue was andy's. imba huh he. can eat so much. moreover he had eaten 2 otah sticks and one chicken wing from the food van while waiting for us to go and buy macs. haha..this was what was left after our sumptuous lunch.

and this is andy feeling damn song after eating. hahahha..lol. so after sch decided not to go training today cos got lots of test to study for this week.

i gtg now read chinese abit. cya!

    sunday afternoon
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

yay! juz finished doing geography cd 10,11 and 13. din do 14 cos dont noe what it is about. anyway just wondering how come dr chion so hardcore every lesson give us cd..hmm..after a while some will just take the class discussions lightly and dont bother to hand it up. for example, student k was so sian of doing CDs that he decided not to do anymore and so far have not handed in CD 3 onwards if im not wrong. LOL. but i feel that CDs are actually quite useful though. cos with class discussions, one must like really listen to her during lesson (cos most of the time she is saying out the answer), or do background research on the net in order to cntrl c, cntrl v. haha..so i feel that although we hate CDs, CDs are actually quite efficient in helping us understand the topics lor. at least it is more important than those silly articles that decruz always give us to read to waste english lesson time. lolx.
so, just wanted to share several funny pictures in this post.

    hahaha..luckily soccer is a man's game.

yea..now look at israel and lebenon. XD.

    lolz..

ok.thats all for now. i will need to go mug my chinese le. cya!

    Rocker Sia

Guess what, Bing Xi just broke another record! For the whole of last week, he was absent from school and was in Australia. Without giving any slight hint, he just flew off, leaving his project group members worried. Everyone was looking for him. Haiz... sadly, he is in my eng and ss project group. I wonder how I am going to finish the projects with him MIA more than half of the time. :( Uncontactable too. And he just got back yesterday. After that, he was busy with dunno what other stuffs and DMP. At first, he told me that I can go down on sat afternoon to edit the ss video. Then he changed to sunday afternoon cos he got DMP. Now, he needs to go out and postponed the video editing to Tuesday afternoon. Haiz... Hope we can really START work on tue afternoon.

hmm,its like 1.30am le. im still awake. gosh, dread tmr hangover. anyway, after my previous post, i was just stoning around. my dad came home so i decided to play pool with him. yar. won him 3-0 at the Nine ball pool but lost 2-1 at the Eight ball pool. sigh. by then it was around dinner time so went to this thai restaurant opposite ikea. carn really rmb the restaurant name though. food was ok but damn ex. for 3 ppl (excluding my sis as she did not eat much), it was like arnd $150. zz. but since the portions of the food were huge and it was rather delicious, i guess the Exobitant was reasonable overall. reached home at 9.30 and wanted to do my chinese compo. note the word wanted. lol. ended up playing 4hrs of DOTA straight. kinda hardcore huh..anyway, holy-shitted 2 games, monster kill 1 game and the last game where i used tiny was rather screwed up. hahs..better get some slp b4 i cannot wake up tmr.

    lazy saturday
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

well, woke up at arnd 10am. dreads the humongous amount of homework over the weekends. zz. sch not only gives lots of work during the weekdays but also pile us up with homework over the weekend. sian. work to be done this weekend includes: chinese compo for me (cos chinese teacher say i din hand in), maths portfolio, RE portfolio, RE final report, study for physics test nxt week, study for chinese test nxt week, study for chemistry quiz next week. waaa..sian diao.
so far, completed only maths and RE portfolio. sigh. must really stop procrastinating sia..

found these funny pics on the net: hahs..apparently theres this service at www.ipodmyphoto.com that allows ppl to send them their images and they would change it to ipod style. cool huh?

anyway, f.y.i, i have huge hands:

heh..check out what this website said about huge hands! http://www.paralumun.com/palmsize.htm

    HAND SIZE
The size of the hand can be important in in helping to judge the character and personality.
People with small hands have a strong desire to achieve.
They usually set long range goals in their life.
They sometimes have a big ego and have trouble relaxing.
People with medium hands are well balanced and have good judgement.
They have common sense and are practical.
People with large hands have many capability`s.
They can have many goals, all at the same time.
They are friendly and very sociable.

    hahah..cya!

why is it when i do not go to sch ppl will think that i pon sch??
izzit really impossible for me to get sick thats why they think that way?? i am human afterall and do get ill sometimes OK.
define pon-ning sch: do not attend sch for no apparent reason and going somewhere or doing something unproductive instead.
well,i definitely have a reason for not going sch as i am down with a bad flu and i slept during the time supposed to be in sch cos thats what the doc said..(to have more rest).
cmon lar..its damn lame to accuse someone of pon-ing sch juz because he is ill lor. for example when x did not come to sch on the reason that he is ill, i definitely did not go around spreading that he is pon-ing sch. zz.
if you really think that it is shiok to stay at home and miss sch, i would change positions with u anytime la. stuck at home with nothing to do, tissue up ur nose, missing important lessons in sch, especially physics since physics test next wk, im sure its a good thing lor.
    think about it. cya.

    sick thursday
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

feeling rather sick today man. bout of sinez did not stop by mid-morning. sianz. pai seh hor clement, made u endure the sniffing and constant blowing of nose for the whole day today. lolz. now sneeze until my eyes tear become red le. zz. bo pian, had to endure today surviving on my remaining packet of tissue as well as tissue sponsorer ANDY. thanx andy. think took 2 packets from u. lol. anyways, arrived in class early in the morning just to witness the typical scenario in the morning just before a test. mugging. yar..carn help it, its in-born in us and emphasized by the sch. dont mug = gg.

maths: got back cct. dont wish to talk about it bah. fared rather badly. zz.

geog: another sian lesson. cant seem to understand how come chion can be soooo early for every of her lesson..must be like she walks super fast lo. completed 2 class discussions in class.

recess: hahs..D made business as usual. wa..i think im like the biggest consumer in his business lor. everyday at least 2 packets. LOL. btw D, why not start selling "LAYs barbeque" chips. super nice. confirm lots of ppl will buy. heh..

chinese: wasted about half an hour listening to tccc (talk cock champ ching) practising his chinese speech in front of the class, along with andy and yuan wei. not bad la.. the other half of the lesson was spent going through one summary. i was especially blurr during this lesson cos my nose was like super flowy and damn uncomfortable la. luckily ycm did not catch me stoning.

bio: ahh..the bio practical test. b4 going onto the test, let me state some facts about this new relief teacher mat chua. one example of a dialogue between him and sylvester (this tennis player who wasnt in class when he taught new topic)

chua: sly, u understand what im going through now about the tRNA and the mRNA?

    sly: er..no.

(all of us expected chua to like suggest giving tips/remedial for sylvester since he was lagging behind)
    instead...

chua: oh.ok. then you've got to study harder.

wth?? thats one reason why many ri students complain that the teachers we get is really not up to standard. so anyway, the bio practical quiz. was not that hard la. tested mainly about sickle cell anemia which fortunately i had read up on the night b4. hopefully i would do better in this compared to my maths cct.

character and leadership ed (CLE): good news man! decruz had to go off early to go to some cricket match so we had the lesson by ourselves. were supposed to do some reflection stuff but these were what went on instead. lol. obviously bridge and taitee tables were opened straight away once decruz stepped out of the class.

some ppl played chess. it was actually a 5 v 1 chess game lor. LOL. all were ganging the pro one. hahs.

the hardcore mugger all-star meeting where tccc (talk cock champ ching), centre of pic, was explaining to the rest how come his ans during the bio practical test is correct.

and of course, there were some who really went to do their self-refection. that included me! hahs..

had this austrailian maths competition after sch. deshawn and i went there earlier, hopefully able to get a seat behind a china scholar. lols. so that can copy him lar. test started out really simple la. bunch of addition and subtraction questions. ahahhah...however it progressively got harder, and i had no choice but to use the brute force/trial and error method for some of the more complicated questions. but it was like midway during the test when i felt really tired and vision getting groggy due to my endless sneezing. so rushed thru the rest of the paper (left about 4 questions blank lor), submitted the paper when there was still 45 min left and asked to leave. seriously tired.

anyway, must file philo file by tonight bah. thats about all the hw for today. yay! cya xD

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

wednesday is seriously the most tiring day of the week. line-up of lessons today:chem, maths, pe, chinese, assembly and bio. my file was like weighing a ton and about to burst due to all the worksheets these subjects required.

chem: kmk went thru some electrolysis stuff and i juz started to get the hang of it now. yay!

maths: this time, kbh taught about implications using integration. sounds chim but not as complicated though. managed to understand quickly.

pe: really cannot stand that relief teacher. seriously learning lots from tccc. spent roughly 20 min overall talking about "passing with ur foot" in socccer. zzzz. like we dont noe how to pass lor. our class is in semi-finals in inter-class soccer leh...den played some boring "game" about keeping possession for half an hour, before really playing a real match which turned out to be rather crappy. due to the scorching hot sun today, most of us were rather lethargic.. especially that bennett lar..he assigned as goalkeeper but juz stone there do nothing. lolz.

recess: hahs..update about the successful business of D's new venture which is POTATO CHIPS CHILLI SALSA FLAVOUR. wa..D is really earning lots lor. hahs..

chinese: went thru some cloze passage for arnd 25min. and ycm told me that i din hand up a homework. i was rather confused cos i dun rmb not handing in any chinese hw late, and when i ask her what type izzit, she come and gl me and say for me to find out. zzz. still really dunno what i din hand in. must ask her again tmr.

Character leadership ed (changed to assembly): some jazz band came down to my sch to play some classical songs and some genre blue songs. rather relaxing. was intending to take a photo of the band but couldnt find a place where i could take without being caught. sigh.

stoned in class during lunchtime and played taitee in class.

bio: ahhh..finally i get the DNA, mRNA and coding stuff. lol. took me quite awhile la. cos this new relief teacher is like going super fast and expecting us to noe everything that he is talking about. also, tmr got this bio practical assignment. must really study it.

training was at 3.30. i arrived there at 3.45, played with yixuan for a while, and practising my new serve too. talked crap with zheng xuan about "hard gay" on youtube. its just about this horny jap guy 'walking' around doing forward funny thrust actions. its damn funny. theres this whole series about him on youtube. lols..i will be posting a video from you tube about hard gay in the next post. hahaha.. so i left training at 5pm cos was rather tired and wanted to come home to study for my bio practical tmr.

anyways, here are some lame stuff which clement and i did during those boring lessons.

this is my tissue packet. originally was "road courtesy pass it on". we changed it to "SARS...pass it on" LOL.hahha...

anyway, i would be going to study my bio now. cya!

funny joke of the day: what do you do when u are damn hungry?

ans: find some noobs and feed on them. lolx..

    boring tuesday
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

shall blog about the boring tuesday today. it was an all academic periods day: maths, social studies, english, physics and chem. sian rite? shall talk briefly how each went by..

maths: kbh went thru some integration stuff and commented that he could not return us our class tests cos after marking the first few ppl's papers, he was so demoralised that he stopped marking. lols. luckily im number 32, hopefully din do so bad. hahah..

social studies: since my group have already finished our video, it was kinda slack the whole period for us as aguss gave us the whole 1hr to discuss about the video. quite ironic since my group was doing on the topic of procrastination and yet we were the first group to finish the video. LOL.

recess: probably the best time of the day. i followed up on my previous post about businessmen in my class.

this is DS chewy bars. he brings different flavours ranging from cookies and cream to oatmeal raisins. another product from DS. it is rather tasty (i bought one to try today), but definitely would taste great if we were allowed to use the microwave oven in the science lab to heat this up. hahs..currently, D have started a new venture, going into jack and jills potato chips. GUESS WHAT? all were sold out 1hr before recess. omg. LOL. this included his usual business of roller coasters. damn, he really knows our likings..heh..as usual, another proof of D's successful business. mrs yap shld really get D to join the entrepeneurship SIG lor. lol.

english: decruz was late by 10min. we spent the whole lesson discussing this reading book club.

physics: it was a lab lesson today. spent majority of the lesson going through electro magnetism i think. did some experiments with the magnet and circuit etc.

chem: was really fun today. we spent about half an hour in class discussing this worksheet b4 proceeding to the lab. we were allowed to do this experiment about cathode and anode. the cathode was connected to this copper paper, and the anode can be connected to a metallic stuff which would become "copperfied" once in contact. this was due to the copper ions transferring from the cathode, through the electrolyte and onto the metal item. so the usual curious and playful us decided to do something out the ordinary!

so as you can see from these 2 comparison pictures, the sch badge became from shiny metal to a cool bronze colour. thanx to steven! den david also tried to do it on his metal pen cap and here was how it looked like in the end!

    lols.

so anyway, i managed to grab a copy of Mr otto fong's latest comic book! yay!

and guess what? he also signed for me an autograph at the front of the book! cool huh!

yup. so now im gonna finally start on my chinese letter writing compo and hopefully finish it by tonight. cyaz!

    entrepenuers in class
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

i just love odd weeks mondays. here are the periods: bio,PE,english, followed by 3hrs of RE. RE = Research Education (something like Project Work but it is a whole year project.)
ok,so let me breifly state how the day went by.

Biology: sub teacher went through something about DNA and RNA,couldnt really understand.sigh, must mug on tuesday before the wednesday's bio practical test.

PE: had to waste some time to do this survey which the MOE gave the sch. lame questions such as "do you like to go to sch","how are u doing in sch" appeared multiple times;probably allowing the MOE ppl to noe which students were taking the survey seriously or not by recognising the different answers.so PE went on after that and it was SOCCER! woots. but since the field is under construction and RJC is seriously a long walk from RI,we had no choice but to share the small astroturf with about 4 con-currently running PE classes. so the space area was super small, and the ball kept flying out of bounds.sian lar.

recess: ok.here,i wish to blog about the aspiring young entrepeneurs in my class.lolz.ever since the canteen has been shut down for renovation,2 mini mobile food vans as well as the dining hall took over the catering of the pupil's food. let me name some disadvantages of this.
first, the dining hall food sucks.on display they would claim to serve spaghetti in cream sauce or tomato sauce with extra toppings such as chicken or fish. sounds pretty yummy huh? as if. after spending 2 whole bucks, you would realised that you have just wasted ur money on rubbery noodle in excess cream sauce as well as cold fish/chicken served in super small portions.wth.
second, the 2 mobile food van is rather boring la.everyday is the same thing.the jap van on the left would sell sushis at an exorbitant price of 50cents each,as well as soya bean drinks (which i am very sure is sugar water) at 40cents a cup.haha..but we are smarter than them.usually,we would take turns to buy a cup during different day recesses, then in turn we would drink the soya bean and refill it.hahahahah..the uncle always v busy de so never see.the jap van would also sell packaged foodstuff such as beef rice, terriyaki rice and i think salmon rice. whereas the van on the right would always sell plain bee hoon and a mini-nasi lemak. ok,after saying all these,u might think that its really a wide selection of food. lets see how you feel after eating this for a whole 365 days?!?
thirdly,it is always very crowded. 5 minutes into recess yet the teacher is still holding you back = gg. no more hopes for getting food le.
fouthly, there is like no space to seat to eat for the mobile vans.so during recess, its like construction workers site like that, everyone squatting here squatting there eating their food, really messy and unorganised.

so after stating all these reasons, future businessmen have came to the rescue by selling food in class! yay! for safety reasons, names would remain anonymous but represented by their initials.
thanks to these ppl,how stomach have never gone hungry during recess:
C : for his oreos!! at an affordable price of 50cent per packet.
De: for his famous POP TARTS as well as the chewy bars. im not sure of the costs cos i dun quite like pop tarts and i bring my own chewy bars.heh..
D : for his probably most successful ROLLER COASTERS!! it comes in 2 flavours barbeque or cheese. cost price:50 cents for one packet.trust me,even b4 the recess bell goes,u had better place ur orders with him or it will be sold out real quick.

hahah..as u can see from this pic, the success of D's business in class selling roller coasters to fill our empty stomachs! yay!! thanx D!

english: erm, carn really rmb what he went through, if he really went thru anything at all. he came in late as usual, and tc for ard 20min overall etc. not really sure.

3 periods of RE: hahah! the best part of today. since my group have finished our RE during the SIngapore Youth Science Fest 2 months ago, we practically had nothing to do for these 3hrs of RE today. fortunately, andy brought his laptop to sch. so guess what? haha..obvious right, i played dota lor! lolz. pawned in the 1v5 insane com with 53 kills and 2 deaths using lina. (2 deaths cos i too chiong and died after triple killing.)lol. anyway it was very fun. but anyways, we had to complete this peer reflection sheet which took like 5 min, b4 all of us headed for lunch. By then we still had 2hrs to kill. since deshawn andy and yuan wei were in the same ss group, they decided to do their ss lo. so i just kinda stoned with them outside the library for 2hrs. spent most of the time listening to the music on my hp. sianz. felt like going home early and pon-ing training but decided against it.

training was normal, nothing out of the ordinary, maybe just that i learnt a new serve. hahs.. how the serve works is a secret..lol. so went home after that and ate dinner and so now bloggin la. hmm, have not done chinese yet. waiting to do it tmr hopefully. cya!

    sunday morning
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

sunday morning. due to tiredness building up within me over the whole wk, i woke up at around 11.58am. v tired la. so went down read the newspapers, and saw that the cip which i did the other day was featured in page 11 of the sunday times. cool huh? yar, anyway, the article was just mainly focussing on this MP giving a matress to an elderly man. zzz. abit biased lor. all the sec4s were sweating buckets after buckets, and getting themselves downright dirty, whereas this MP juz came, shook hands with the in-charge, and he got all the glory for all our work that we did. -.-. i mean, at least he should stay back and like praise us or compliment us for the hard work that we have put in, but instead he went off straight away after his photo was taken. zzzz. going off for lunch now before doing the essay about terrorism that de-cruz gave. sian, what a sunday.

Today, i had to go down to NIE and meet my mentor for one last time as we need to hand in the RE report on monday. There were a lot of things left to be done! Oh no, surely bao(burst) already. I tried to pia as much as possible, but was too tired and fell asleep at the computer table. I woke up like about 1 hour later. When i tried to move my arm, it wouldn't move!!:( cos it went numb due to the lack of blood flowing to it. And my ankle hurt a lot. Had to limp home...Haiz.

    cip
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

today had cip within the sec 4 cohort. almost forgot about it until arnd 9pm last night when ian called. so, i was told that i had to join this group of 4 4h ppl whom i din even noe at all. great... to make things worse, today when i arrived at geylang bahru (where the cip took place) i realised that all the 4h ppl in my group were absent. wtf. so i was like the only "group" with one person.
ok, things were abt to get more pissing. we were told to gather there at 7.45am, briefing for 15min, before the real thing started at 8am. Guess what. after rushing to wake up early, eat a quick breakfast, i arrived there at 8am, thinking that i was late, only to find out that majority of the ppl were not there still. -.-. so the whole thing proper started at arnd 9am. yes 9am. (1 hr behind time) well,so i was re-assigned to a diff group and we started our cip.
basically, we were made to go to these elderly ppl homes and clean them up. purpose of this cip was to clean up the place, tidy up the place, as well as throw away unwanted stuff. so we went to our first home:
zzz..looks like we had a busy time ahead. so anyway, marcus and i did some wiping of the windows as well as the mopping of the floor. fortunately, the 2 elderly ppl in the house was rather amiable. we were able to chat light-heartedly with them too. it took us abt 2hrs before we managed to clean up this house. by the way, they also had this really cute dog in their house.

so cute right?? his name is lucky. he kept on pawing on me, standing on 2s and wanted to play with me. hahahah.. that was probably the best thing in this whole cip project. lol.

so after that, marcus and i were made to follow this chinese teacher arnd to investigate the other groups to make sure that they were alright. sianz. spent 1/2 and hour doing that.

so at 12noon, was my 2nd shift. we headed to another flat. the old woman who resided in the flat was abit gl la. she only allowed like one person to enter her flat as she was scared that we would make it dirty. zzzzz. cmon la, we are trying to help clean the place up yet she does not want us to help. anyway, in this clean-up of this flat, i just realised i had one specialty: that had to be the cleaning of fans. in all today, i cleaned a total of 6 fans. LOL. i was rather skillful in unleashing the fan shutters as well as removing the blade. so in this flat, i realised that she had not cleaned her fan for 24yrs as she did not noe how to open it up. wtf. so u can imagine how dirty it was when i opened and cleaned it. one full pail of crystal clean water turned into this darkish brown solution with dust particles floating around inside.eee. so anyway, throughout this cleaning process, she was also complaining to me about her son. that she was scared of her son, as well as her son being unruly, irresponisble as well as uncaring. i did not noe what to respond then so i juz kept nodding my head saying 'uh-huh'. also, she is very greedy lar. just because she saw that her neighbour got this free rice-cooker from us, she claimed that hers was spoilt and that she needed one too. (for ur infomation, she already recieved free matresses, free pillow as well as a free wall fan) ok lar, we cannot really blame these old ppl from being greedy and kiasu as to them, everything is expensive and at their age, money is hard to come by. but i also feel that the aged shldnt over-do it. as in they shldnt de chun jing chi lor. they shld not take these kindnesses for granted and shld learn to appreciate them instead of being suspicious or wanting more.

so after the cip, went to the nearest food court where i saw the usual tccc (talk cock champ ching) talking cock.

yar, thats him in the middle of the picture. here is an example of a dialouge with him.

me: hey ching, how u going home?

ching: look up in the sky, see a helicopter here yet??

    me: zz.

ching: sry lar, i just bought this helicopter, imported from italy.

    me: o.0

ching: helicopter will come and fetch me home lor!

    me: ......

will post more about hu ching aka hu the hum another time. lolz.

tips from tze wei about foosball
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

today is friday. was feeling kinda ill in the morning with a real bad spinning headache and quite a bad flu, so decided against going to sch. woke up properly at arnd 10am b4 i decided to go and cut my hair since i was kinda free and my hair was growing super long..
so this is how its like now:

    hahs..yar.

so now i have decided to post an interesting post today, which is "getting tips about foosball from tze wei". lol. ok,most ppl who have came over my place and played foosball with me would know that this is rather rare opportunity to hear from the pro himself. LOL. jkjk. so anyway, let me give you guys some tips about playing foosball, so that more ppl can enjoy the game in sch (since a foosball table suddenly appeared at the sch atrium), as well as me having better challengers. hahahha..ok so here goes,

firstly, you must rmber one rule. nver spin the stick. not only does this prevent you from improving in terms of skill, as it merely requires one to spin and not to aim, it also endangers anyone playing the game, as the ball may fly out anytime anywhere at anyone. ppl usually spin the stick as they do not know the proper technique. so this leads to my second point.

2nd, is the way u shld hold the bar. i have seen lots of humourous ways of ppl holding the foosball bar. ranging from the double-handed hold, to the super tight grip hold which makes it almost impossible to hit the ball as ur shoulder would be too stiff. so the proper way of holding the bar would be just to loosen ur grip, and pretend that it is just a light handshake. this is especially useful during 1-on-1 as it will allow you to swiftly let go of one bar and grab another bar during the gameplay. loosely holding the bar does not neccessarily mean that you cannot whack the ball hard. i can prove to you i can if u come over. LOL.

thirdly would be the hitting of the ball. try to hit the ball right dead centre. this will not only allow u to maximise ur power in contact with the ball, it will also enable u to aim rather accurately. u will need rather good hand-eye coordination too for this. after u have cleared this stage, let me know and i will go onto stage 2 where u hit the ball at a certain angle so as to angle the path of the ball. hahs.

fourthly, is the position of the bar before or during the game. it may sound rather complicated so i have uploaded a picture as 'a picture speaks a thousand words':

ok. so take for example i am the blue team. (this would be during a 1-on-1 match-up) i would first let my 3 strikers be up in the air (as shown in the diagram) this is to allow me more opportunities for my 5 midfielders to score straight away without any of my strikers obstructing. similarly, once the ball is in possession of the red team's defender or keeper, i would immediately place my striker down again so that it may provide an obstruction between the defenders and his other outfielding players.

fifth, is man-marking. this sounds simple yet, it is the most crucial in the game. man-marking prevent goals, steals possession and create chances for urself. once u noe how to man-mark, it would be harder for the opponents to score. (if they are noobs, it is almost impossible to score as they will only know how to hit straight and they will eventually hit straight into ur defenders. however if they are pros, they would also encounter several problems for scoring and would have to resort to scoring using the angle ball or long-range shots.

number 6, would be using the defenders to a great extent. ok, i have mentioned previously about man-marking. after u have man-marked ur opponents and got possession of the ball, it would be time to clear the ball to ur outfield player. this is tip number 6 is a counter to tip number 4 where i stated "once the ball is in possession of the red team's defender or keeper, i would immediately place my striker down again so that it may provide an obstruction between the defenders and his other outfielding players." to avoid this kind of problem is easy. just purposely mis-hit the ball. yep. u heard me correct. this is due to the fact that the opponent strikers would be intentionall marking ur defenders by lining themselves up directly in front of ur defenders. so to get the ball away from this area, mis-hit the ball and they would definitely not be able to guess where the ball be heading. so this would allow to ball to be cleared.

last of all, would be the secret to my success (sounds damn like the english biography haha..). stay calm. stay calm. stay calm. in case u missed the first 3 times, its to stay calm. lol. staying calm would allow u to control the ball marvellously as well as allowing u to man-mark ur opponents skillfully. if u are those really kan-chiong ppl, foosball would definitely not be ur game. u would lose control of the ball once u lose ur cool. and once u lose control u would lose the game. xD

so yup, thats all for now and i would probably be posting more tips about foosball, including the jump ball, the backheel-shoot tactics, passing between players in the same bar as well as the fake shot and the step-over. hahahhha.

hopefully u would have learnt much about playing foosball from reading this post and come and challenge me one day once u are rdy. lolz. cya!
